Our Mission

To make origin trustworthy, transparent, and open for the producers who need it most.

Our Vision

A future where small agricultural producers can prove authenticity, preserve heritage, and access trusted markets through open digital infrastructure.

Why We Started in Georgia

8,000 years of wine. One chance to protect it.

Georgia is the cradle of viticulture. Archaeological evidence confirms winemaking in the South Caucasus since approximately 6000 BCE, making it the oldest continuously producing wine region on Earth. The qvevri, a large clay vessel buried underground for fermentation, is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Today, thousands of family-run vineyards cultivate over 500 endemic grape varieties found nowhere else in the world. Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, each carries the imprint of a specific microclimate, a specific terroir. Yet these producers face mounting pressure from counterfeit labeling, inconsistent export certification, and the accelerating unpredictability of climate change.

The global wine market is not kind to small producers without infrastructure. Larger operations can afford proprietary traceability systems and established certification pathways. Family wineries cannot. The result is a trust gap, where the most authentic products are the hardest to verify.

Terroir begins in Georgia because the stakes are highest here. The heritage is irreplaceable, the community is engaged, and the regulatory environment is receptive. What we build here is designed to work everywhere, but it must work here first.

What We Believe

Our Principles

Open by Default

All core modules are open-source. No proprietary lock-in, no vendor capture. The infrastructure belongs to the community that uses it.

Trust Through Verification

Claims are only as strong as their attestations. Multi-party signing, public auditability, and tamper-evident records replace blind faith.

Infrastructure Over Hype

We build plumbing, not products. Reusable schemas, open APIs, and interoperable data models designed to outlast any single implementation.

Local Pilot, Global Design

We start in Georgia because the need is real and the community is engaged. But every architectural decision is made with global reuse in mind.

Heritage With Integrity

Technology should amplify cultural traditions, not replace them. We design with producers, not for them, preserving what matters while enabling what's new.
